Through our Director of Growth, Umair Shahzad, a partnership was formed with Khudi Ventures, Pakistan’s largest venture studio backed by Jang Media Group, to lead growth across product, operations, marketing, and customer experience. New products were built from the ground up, driving go-to-market, product development, and growth hacking strategies that powered the launch of Dil Ka Rishta—Pakistan’s fastest-growing startup with 7.5 million users and multiple “Startup of the Year” awards.
The goal
Khudi Ventures set out to establish itself as Pakistan’s largest and most impactful venture studio, with the backing of Jang Media Group. To achieve this, they needed leadership that could unify product, marketing, operations, and customer experience across a diverse and rapidly growing portfolio. The objective was to create scalable ventures capable of mass adoption while positioning the studio as a market leader in innovation and growth.
As the first hire after the CEO, Umair was tasked with managing the entire portfolio and driving results across every function. This meant building new products from scratch, designing go-to-market strategies, and executing aggressive growth campaigns. The goal was clear: launch ventures that could dominate their categories, culminating in the creation of Pakistan’s fastest-growing startup and setting a new standard for venture studios in the region.
The process
The portfolio was first evaluated to understand the challenges and opportunities within each venture.
